World Bank Group President, Israel's Finance Minister to strengthen economic cooperation


(MENAFN) A statement issued by the Israeli Ministry of Finance showed that Israel's Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman gathered with the World Bank Group President David Malpass in Jerusalem.

It further declared that the reason behind the visit is to improve economic collaboration amid Israel and the World Bank's activities around the world.

Malpass tops a delegation of senior officials visiting Israel, including the World Bank's Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Ferid Belhaj, and Executive Director Koen Davidse, who represents the group of countries in which Israel is a member.

Moreover; the two have talked about economic issues, collaboration amid Israel and the bank, the global reaction to the coronavirus pandemic and the state of the global economy.
