Confidence in Turkey’s retail trade, services sectors increases in September
(MENAFN) According to official data, confidence in Turkey’s retail trade and services sectors increased in September as construction declined month-on-month.
The Turkish Statistical Institute showed that the confidence index for retail trade increased 4.8 percent on a monthly basis to 115.6 in September, as indices of current stock volumes and business activity-sales expectation in the coming three months rose significantly.
The TurkStat also reported that the services confidence index amounted at 117.8 this month, an improvement of 1.5 percent from August supported by increases in business sentiment and demand-turnover.
Results are evaluated within a range of 0-200. Sectoral confidence indices signal an optimistic outlook when the rate is over 100 and a negative outlook when it is fewer than 100, based on the monthly survey.
