China's software sector post strong grow in income, profits

(MENAFN)Official data stated that China's software and information technology sector announced strong grow in income and profits in the first six months of 2021.

According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the sector's combined software income reached 4.42 trillion yuan (about USD683.68 billion) in the first half, rising 23.2 percent on annual basis.

The MIIT added that firms in the sector witnessed their incomes total about 500 billion yuan in the first half, which is a rise of 13.6 percent from 2020. And, the expansion volume fell 12.3 percentage points from the level in the January-March period because of an increase in the base in the first quarter of 2020.

Moreover, in the first six months, the software sector's exports reached USD24 billion, increasing 12.2 percent yearly, while the exports expansion lifted slightly from the January-May period.
