Divyansh Tomar: 'This Journey with TendsWeb has been awesome so far'
(MENAFN- Northeast Headline) Divyansh Tomar is a Ujjain-based serial entrepreneur.
He is the CEO and founder of Tendsweb, a digital marketing company , Director at SDVT MEDIA PVT LTD and Creative Director in AOELITE LLC, An USA based eCommerce marketing services company.
Divyansh supervises a team of more than 25 people today and has worked for more than 300 companies so far across the globe.
Early life
Divyansh Tomar, founder of Tendsweb, a brand under SDVT Media, lost his father, a BSF Constable, when he was just 3 years old. That was the beginning of long years of living with financial difficulty for him and his mother, who took up a job with her husband’s organization but couldn’t continue it for long. It was a 5 years old Divyansh, who had to take up a job, instead of his mother, and work as an office-boy to support his family.
That was just the start of a life full of struggle for this young man but he bore it all and came up trumps with his own banner Tendsweb, which is one of the fastest growing digital marketing companies. Divyansh and his mother showed real grit and determination in the face of adversity and this young man built a life for himself, inspiring millions of his followers online.
It is not new for youngsters to struggle during their career’s initial years. But for Divyansh, the struggle began even earlier but that just strengthened his resolve. Perhaps that is why his story is not that of a regular entrepreneur. For starters, when he was working as an office peon, to support his family, Divyansh kept it a secret from his school friends because he wanted to fit in. Therefore, after returning from school, he rushed out again, not to play cricket in the park, but to his office to do a job. He continued like that till 18 years of his life.
In 2015, when he was studying in 12th standard, Divyansh’s life took another turn, as he gave up on his job and began to focus on his education. This decision was spurred on by his interest in computers, which he got introduced to at a local computer coaching class. Throughout this, his mother remained a pillar of support for him.
At the coaching class, Divyansh not only explored the whole new world, but also joined Facebook in 2011. His interest was piqued further when he started opening Facebook pages. Since he had left his job, his father’s pension was not enough to sustain them and they were, once again, struck by financial problems. At times, Divyansh didn’t even have money to pay for his studies. The times were getting tough, but Divyansh and his mother remained hopeful for their future because Divyansh was looking for work options online.
Around this time, after he had finished school in 2015, he began to create Facebook pages, just for fun. In two years’ time, his first page on FB had reached a 100,000 likes, which inspired him to go for more. However, he was just ambling around on Facebook, with no clear idea of what he was going to do eventually for a career. Just when he feared that may be he was on the wrong path, he received a message from an app, offering him Rs. 300 for paid promotion on one of his pages. Even though it was a negligible amount of money, the new experience of being offered money for his online presence surprised Divyansh. Nevertheless, that was the beginning of a new phase in his life. The social media became a steady source of income for this young man and soon, he could pay for his college fees, house EMI and household expenses, all because of the millions of likes on his Facebook pages.
After a few more years, Divyansh started working as a content write and social media manager for websites and Facebook pages. Meanwhile, he also completed his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from MIT, Ujjain in 2019.
That was also the time this 23-year-old realized that digital space was the medium for the future. This thought, coupled with his long experience of working in the social media space for others, helped him take the plunge with his own digital marketing company. He was in the third-year of college when he began Tendsweb with help of a couple of friends and his mother, who had his back through every phase of struggle in their lives.
From handling his first digital marketing client in 2018, and opening his first office in Indore, Divyansh supervises a team of more than 25 people today and has worked for more than 300 companies so far.
