Heat wave in Greece reaches its peak Saturday


(MENAFN)Weather officials in Greece stated that a heat wave is estimated to reach its climax Saturday with temperatures standing at 43 C (109 F).

Thr Meteorological Service of the National Observatory of Athens reported that the temperature in Western Macedonia is going to amount at 38 C (100.4 F) as it is predict to top 41 C (105.8 F) in the rest of northern Greece.

Central Greece is estimated to sweat under 43 C (110 F), Epirus 41 C (105.8 F) and the rest of the mainland 42 C (107.6 F). On the Ionian Islands, the temperature may increase to 39 C (102.2 F).

The meteorological body further announced that that African dust is going to increase in the atmosphere.
