China posts increase of local brands, products

(MENAFN)According to an industrial statement, China has posted an upsurge in interest among young consumers in local brands and goods that fit in traditional Chinese style and culture over the last few years.
Chinese people's interest in local goods increased by 528 percent compared with 10 years ago, declared a statement jointly issued by Internet giant Baidu and an institute under People.cn.
The statement revealed that developments in quality and brand image have inserted impetus into local goods in mounting sectors counting clothing, automobiles and cosmetics, with their popularity triple that of foreign counterparts in 2021.
Local mobile phones led the expansion with the consumer alertness of high-end cell phones up to 82 percent in 2021 from 52 percent in 2016, and cutting-edge technologies including 5G, chips and artificial intelligence photography have become buzzwords along with consumers.
