KABUL: The families of students martyred in the Sayed
- Shuhada girls'' school attack call on the Hague-based International Court of Justice to assess the terrorist incident that killed more than 50 school girls and wounded at least 100 on Saturday in the Dasht-e-Barchi neighborhood of Kabul.
The call comes after people in the west of Kabul were completely disappointed with the government to investigate and punish the perpetrators of several attacks in the neighborhood.
The families of martyr students in a statement called on the International Court of Justice to assess the attack impartially.
The statement also called on the Afghan leaders to investigate the attack and share it with the people.
These families accused President Ghani's government of ignoring national security especially security in the west of Kabul, warning that they would take arms to defend their area.
The statement called for one day of national mourning to commemorate the martyrdom of school girls.
The government accuses Taliban of the attack. But the insurgent group rejects having hand in the incident.
Prior to this, several educational centers, gyms, hospitals and even mosques came under similar attacks in the west of Kabul that took the lives of tens of innocent civilians each.
