Dr. Siri Terjesen is the Phil Smith Professor of Entrepreneurship & Associate Dean, Research & External Relations at Florida Atlantic University's College of Business. Concurrently she is an adjunct professor at the Norwegian School of Economics (Norges Handelshøyskole: NHH) in Bergen, Norway. Siri received her undergraduate education at the University of Richmond (1997), her Masters at NHH (2002) as a Fulbright Scholar, and PhD at Cranfield University in the UK (2006). She was a post-doctoral fellow at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia (2006-7).

Her research on entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and strategy has been published in leading journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Operations Management, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, Academy of Management Learning & Education, and Strategic Management Journal, and featured in leading media including Bloomberg, US News & World Report, the Times, Huffington Post, and CNBC. In total, she has published over 80 refereed journal articles, 23 book chapters, 2 books, and 6 manuscript white papers (for organizations such as the Kauffman Foundation, World Bank, and U.S. Small Business Administration), which has garnered over 12,000 Google Scholar citations: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=loPMxzAAAAAJ & hl=en

Dr. Terjesen is an Associate Editor of Small Business Economics, Academy of Management Perspectives, Beta, Industry & Innovation, and Journal of Risk & Financial Management, and a member of the editorial boards of Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Leadership Quarterly, Corporate Governance: International Review, and New England Journal of Entrepreneurship. Dr. Terjesen is also an affiliated researcher with Catalyst (New York: http://www.catalyst.org/who-we-are/our-people/siri-terjesen-phd) and the Ratio Institute (Stockholm: http://ratio.se/medarbetare/siri-terjesen/) and Membership Chair of the Academy of Management's Entrepreneurship division.

She has received numerous teaching awards from both student organizations and national associations, most recently from FAU College of Business as outstanding teacher (2020), American University's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life as Outstanding Faculty Member (2017), Kogod School of Business as ''excellent'' in teaching (highest recognition every year), and Indiana University's Sauvain Undergraduate Professor of the Year and Alpha Kappa Psi's student-selected favorite professor awards. She mentors fifteen students each year through the UNCF Koch Scholars program.

Prior to her academic career, Dr. Terjesen was a management consultant with Accenture, on projects in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Berlin, Germany. She was also a competitive ultradistance runner, representing the United States, England, and Queensland (Australia) in international competitions. She is a co-author of the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Monitor's Social Entrepreneurship report on the prevalence of social entrepreneurship in 53 countries around the world and concurrently the Project Director for the Global Entrepreneurship and Development Institute's Female Entrepreneurship Index (https://thegedi.org/about/team-2/).

Since 2016, she is a member of the board of directors at Strata.
