Dr. Ali Bowes is a Lecturer in the Sociology of Sport at Nottingham Trent University. Ali's research interests centre on feminist analyses of women's sport, and she is currently editing two books on the professionalisation of women's sport. She completed her PhD at Loughborough University in 2013 and her research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and edited collections.
