The UAE Cabinet has adopted a resolution to reconstitute the Council of the United Arab Emirates University for a period of three years. Its Chair is H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to His Highness The President of the UAE and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University.

This resolution is set in the context of the University's endeavor to advance its pioneering role as the national flagship university, its vision to serve the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and its commitment to developing an educational process that meets the demands of this strategy.

The University Council members are:

1. H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Al Mheiri: Minister of State for Food and Water Security

2. H.E. Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri: Director General of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority

3. H.E. Tariq Abdul Qadir bin Hindi: Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office

4. H.E. Mona Ghanem Al Marri: Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office

5. H.E. Dr. Abdulla Al Karam: Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority

6. H.E. Saeed Rashid Al Yateem: Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Budget Affairs at the Ministry of Finance

7. H.E. Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Bannai: CEO/Managing Director, EDGE Group

8. H.E. Tayba Abdul Rahim Al Hashemi: CEO of ADNOC Sour Gas

9. The Rt Hon The Lord Ajay Kakkar: Chairman, UCL Partners and Professor of Surgery, University College London

10. H.E. Dr. Mohammed Ali Al Sheryani: representative from the National Supreme Security Council

11. Ms. Amna Al Shamri Al Ajmi: Training and development specialist at AMRC Military Company, as a representative of the youth group
