Lebanon won't attack Syria for oil dispute
(MENAFN)Lebanese caretaker Foreign Minister Charbel Wehbe said on Tuesday that Lebanon won't attack Syria over the two countries' oil dispute, Elnashra news website reported.
His remarks followed Syria's decision to start oil exploration in a disputed area in block No. 1 in the Mediterranean.
Wehbe added "The last resort for Lebanon would be to international courts."
The minister also revealed that Lebanese President Michel Aoun held a phone conversation with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad to discuss the demarcation of maritime borders between the two countries.
