Qatar- German digital business delegation meet slated from March 22 to 25


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The German Industry & Commerce Office Qatar (AHK) has announced that a digital business delegation will showcase German companies from the sports, sports equipment, wearable, and furniture sector from March 22 to 25.
AHK is hosting its first digital delegation as part of the export promotion progamme of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs & Energy, according to AHK representative Kathrin Lemke.
Lemke said the activity will kick-off Monday with a virtual exhibition, which is accessible from 10am to 6pm (Doha time). Local companies can browse thru the booths and also get in touch with the participating members of the digital delegation. On March 22, there will be an online presentation event with a representative from the Federal Association of the German Sporting Goods Industry, who will give an overview on the German sporting goods sector.
Between March 22 and 25, all companies are available for one-on-one meetings. Local companies that are interested in participating in the meetings could reach AHK at [email protected] , Lemke said.
'Taking our export promotion programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to a digital platform allows us to keep in close touch with the local business community, Lemke told Gulf Times.
'Using different tools, such as the virtual showroom will give German companies the opportunity to present themselves to many different stakeholders. We will continue working on connecting German and local companies through different platforms, she stressed.
The participating German companies include Augmania, which specialises on Augmented Reality (AR) for events and marketing; JayKay, whose field of activity is on the production of e-trucks and electric longboards; while MTS Sportartikel is into the development, production, and trade of indoor and outdoor sporting goods and toys.
Also part of the digital business delegation are Sport-Thieme, which into the development, manufacturing, and marketing of products for sports; sunflex sport, which focuses on the production and trade of table tennis and ‘funsport' items; and Wilkhahn, which manufactures future-proof product solutions for furnishing offices, canteens, lounges, conferences, and team workplaces promoting well-being collaboration, identity, and purpose.
Implementing partners for this digital business delegation include the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs & Energy, which supports the German economy's focus on important emerging markets, such as Qatar; AHK, which provides a platform for German-Qatari trade and industry promotion in the State of Qatar and support to German enterprises and their local partners;
Mena Business, which offers consulting across all industries for German companies who want to expand their business to the Middle East and North Africa; the Association of the German Sporting Goods Industry, which is the business association of German sporting goods manufacturers, wholesalers, and importers that was founded in 1910; and the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry, which represents the interests of the entire industry on matters relating to economic, social, and collective bargaining policies.
