Greece: Covid-19 breaks economy


(MENAFN)According to provisional official numbers declared on Friday, March 7, Greece's financial system contracted 8.2 percent year-on-year last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to statistics by ELSTAT, the national statistical service of Greece, the Aegean country's gross domestic product (GDP) reached €168.5 billion (USD192.1 billion), dropped from €183.6 billion in 2020.
Measures against coronavirus affected numerous economic activities throughout the world, counting manufacturing, travel, and tourism sectors.
