Ukraine- NBU: Inflation to reach its peak in mid-2021
"In the middle of this year, the growth of consumer prices will reach peak values, but then inflation will begin to slow down and return to its target range in the first half of 2022," Heletiy said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
He noted that in January, inflation accelerated and exceeded the target of 5% ± 1 percentage point.
"According to preliminary estimates of the National Bank, inflation continued to accelerate in February," he said.
As Ukrinform reported, the National Bank forecasts that consumer inflation will be 7% in 2021.
