(MENAFN)On Tuesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index dropped 1.26 percent to close at 1,542.82 points.
At Monday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index fell 19.67 points from 1,562.49 points, opening the day at 1,569.45 points.
The BIST 100 averaged amid 1,522.08 and 1,575.70 points – 28 stocks on the index increased on Tuesday, and one was flat in comparison with the preceding close.
The benchmark index recorded daily trading rate of 40.3 billion Turkish liras (USD5.8 billion), ending the day with a market rate of 1.18 trillion Turkish liras (USD167.7 billion).
