Qatar- HBKU college holds virtual graduate studies information session

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Prospective students were able to learn more about applying for graduate programmes at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS), Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), recently. An informative virtual graduate studies information session presented future students with details of the six graduate programmes offered by CIS, which cover contemporary and applied Islamic Studies including master's and PhD programmes in Islamic finance, applied ethics, Islamic architecture, and global affairs. Dr Remah Gharib, associate dean for student and academic affairs at CIS, and faculty members led the session, addressing aspects of the curriculum, multiple opportunities to work on critical research projects, and the overall student-centred experience at the college.
A full programme for each academic year includes opportunities to develop professional competencies through participation in international conferences, symposia, and internships that unite them with scholars across the globe. The HBKU admissions team guided participants through the academic and other requirements to apply to the programmes and offered a brief overview of the scholarships and funding available on a competitive basis.
The deadline for Qatari nationals and residents who wish to apply to HBKU's wide-ranging programmes is March 15.
