China aims to import USD170b of goods from Central, Eastern European Countries


(MENAFN)China aims to import more than USD170b of goods from Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) in the coming five years to double farm product imports, stated China's President Xi Jinping.

According to Xinhua, Xi further stated at a virtual summit with CEEC countries focusing on trade and climate change that "17 plus 1 could make more than 18."

He added China plans for a 50 percent improvement in bilateral agricultural trade.

The CEEC includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, the Republic of North Macedonia, Lithuania, Kosovo, Serbia and Montenegro.
