Adaileh presents credentials to Arab League as Jordan's permanent representative
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Cairo, Feb. 3 (Petra) - Secretary General of the Arab League,Ahmed Aboul Gheit, received on Wednesday, the Jordanian ambassador to Egypt, Amjad Adaileh, who presented his credentials on the occasion of his appointment as Jordan's permanent representative to the bloc.
The talks, which were held at the Cairo-based League's headquarters, dealt with developments related to the region's current issues, and arrangements to convene the next session of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers.
During the meeting, Aboul Gheit said the League is looking forward more "fruitful" cooperation with Amman on Arab issues and ways to support the joint Arab action system.
Highlighting the role of Jordan's diplomacy, Aboul Gheit praised the "great" efforts made by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to support and strengthen pan-Arab cooperation and solidarity.
For his part, Adaileh affirmed Jordan's continued keenness to maintain and enhance close coordination and cooperation with the Arab League and all its agencies and to support the bloc's pivotal role in dealing with various issues and challenges at the Arab level.
