Ooredoo Qatar security efforts recognised with Fortinet Award


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Ooredoo Qatar has been recognised as the country's Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) of the Year at the ‘Fortinet North Gulf Partner Sync 2020' virtual awards ceremony held in December.
Fortinet, a global leader in broad, integrated, and automated cybersecurity solutions, conferred Ooredoo with the ‘MSSP of the Year Award for 2020 in Qatar'. The award encapsulates important accomplishments made by Ooredoo in the recent period, with fully-localised operations throughout Qatar.
Using Fortinet's cloud security solutions, Ooredoo now provides enterprises with the necessary visibility and control they need to operate across a variety of cloud infrastructures.  Ooredoo has collaborated with Fortinet on various MSSP solutions over the years, including Firewall and Managed Firewall, Managed Internet Provider Security, and Cloud Email Security solutions, among others.
Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Nasser al-Thani, chief business officer at Ooredoo, said: 'This award reflects well on our work as a national Internet gateway, protecting the information security of our customers.
