Riyadh, Amman call for comprehensive solution to Palestine's cause


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Fahran and visiting Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi on Saturday stressed the necessity of reaching a fair and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian cause, in line with the UN resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.
Speaking at a joint news conference with Al-Safadi, Prince Faisal said "we discussed in a meeting means of boosting security and maintaining stability in the region and the world."
He added that they also covered situations in all Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Libya, noting that Saudi Arabia and Jordan have similar views on these issues.
Meanwhile, Al-Safadi said that Jordan's King Abdullah II reiterated that Saudi Arabia's security is part of Jordan's security, and that Amman backs Riyadh in all measures it takes to protect its security and maintain its stability.
Al-Safadi affirmed Jordan's rejection to interferences into the Arab countries' affairs, and attacks launched by Houthis on Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is Jordan's largest trading partner, he stated. (end)
