LONDON — Finsbury, The Glover Park Group (GPG) and Hering Schuppener have completed their merger announced last July and named the global and regional leadership for Finsbury Glover Herring.
The management buy-in of 49.99% of the combined strategic communications business which has 18 offices and almost 700 consultants around the world is also complete. WPP will remain a 50.01% investor and Mark Read, CEO of WPP, will join the board.
The new global leadership is made up of Alexander Geiser as global CEO and regional CEO for Europe, with Mike Feldman, who was one of the original partners at Glover Park and served eight years in the Clinton-Gore White House, and Winnie Lerner a former managing partner at Finsbury in New York as regional co-CEOs for North America.
In addition, Faeth Birch (pictured), previously a managing partner in Finsbury's London office, becomes regional CEO for the United Kingdom, Middle East and Asia. Glover Park founder Carter Eskew and Finsbury founder Roland Rudd are co-chairmen of the firm.
Geiser, who is based in Frankfurt and was previously a managing partner at Hering Schuppener, having joined the firm in 1998, said: 'We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients and employees alike for this step. Both externally and internally, many have already experienced us as one firm. Now it has really become one firm with a global brand, balance sheet and governance.
Rudd added: 'This is a great moment for Finsbury Glover Hering, we are all energised and excited by the opportunity to create a very special, owner-led firm and be an even better partner to our existing and new clients. We thank them for their support.
