Iraq: 12 new deaths with COVID-19

BAGHDAD, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi Ministry of Health declared on Tuesday recording 12 new deaths due to contamination with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) along with 757 infection cases raising the caseload of contaminations to 599,126.
The ministry said in a statement the death toll has hit 12,856 since eruption of the pandemic in the country months ago.
Up to 547,457 patients who suffered from infection with COVID-19 have been cured of the ailment. (end)
