Abu Dhabi family seeks help finding pet dog lost during NYE fireworks show

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A family from Abu Dhabi is seeking help from community members in finding their pet dog, Mochi, who went missing during the New Year celebrations held at sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi's Al Wathba.

Mochi, the missing fur baby, is a male Shih Tzu and more than three years old. According to the family, he is a mix of black, brown and greyish cream in colour.

Malou Ariate and her husband Ali Al Dhaheri have been trying to find their pet dog since the New Year's Eve 35-minute record-breaking fireworks show at the festival.

'Mochi is my daughter Rowdha's pet. When we got him first, he was still a baby. This was the first time we had gone out with him. He must have gotten scared and run away after hearing the sound of the fireworks. It's my mistake, Malou said.

'We searched the entire place but couldn't find him. We are heartbroken. We are going to Al Wathba daily. We hope to find him roaming around there. Today, we will keep his personal belongings, like his pillow and other things, there. We hope he will then come back. We seek help from the community to reunite him with us. If anyone finds him, please let us know, Malou appealed before leaving for Al Wathba.

Members of the public who locate the dog or know any details that may lead to pinpointing his whereabouts are requested to contact Malou Ariate on 050-3390330.
