China: Stock market draws over 1.5 million new shareholders
(MENAFN) Industry statistics revealed that approximately 1.53 million shareholders in China opened accounts to trade in stocks on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses in November.
The number is an upsurge of 84.77 percent from the same period in 2019, according to the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited.
Individuals accounted for the greater part of new shareholders, hitting more than 1.52 million, while new institutional shareholders reach 3,500.
