Vaccination campaign against COVID-19 launched in Kuwait


(MENAFN) On Thursday, Kuwaiti authorities started the national vaccination campaign against the COVID-19.


The vaccination campaign would last for some months in the state, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said at the vaccination center at the Kuwait International Fairground in Hawalli Governorate.

He advised the public to remain complied with social distancing measures, wearing masks and washing hands to halt the COVID-19 spread.

Previously, Kuwaiti Minister of Health Bassel Al-Sabah stated that the senior and first-line workers will be given the immunization priority in the vaccination campaign.

Kuwait received on Wednesday the first shipment of coronavirus vaccines.
