India- Mohali industries urge farmers to lift dharna from railway tracks
Mohali, Nov 25 (KNN) The Mohali Industries Association (MIA) has appealed to the Kisan Sangharsh Committee to lift dharna from railway tracks so that goods trains can resume operations.
'The state of Punjab is going through an economic crisis due to shortage of raw material and non-movement of goods trains due to which production has come to a standstill. The exporters are facing a huge challenge because the finished product is loaded on goods trains and stranded on tracks,' said Rajeev Gupta, General Secretary, MIA on Tuesday.
Gupta said the state had resumed its industrial operations after the lockdown and it was difficult for MSMEs to meet day-to-day expenses.
He said the industry stands beside the Kisan Sangharsh Committee and its demands.
'We stand united and appeal to the state and the Centre to resume rail operations so that the state can continue its production, Gupta added.
