(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Egypt's Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem met with Greece's Ambassador in Cairo Nikolaos Garilidis, on Monday, to discuss ways of enhancing the cultural and artistic cooperation between the two countries.
Abdel Dayem hailed the historic and centuries long relations between Egypt and Greece, and the similar cultural legacies associated with both countries. These legacies represent soft forces that can be invested as a basis for achieving integration and constructive cooperation between Egypt and Greece.
She said that her Ministry is undertaking various efforts to establish reciprocal and creative activities that would promote all types of communication that solidify relations between Egypt and the world.

Moreover, Garilidis expressed his country's aspiration to continue its coordination with Egypt in all artistic and cultural fields. He praised Egypt's cultural role in supporting the bonds of social peace among the peoples of the Mediterranean region.
He expressed Greece's keenness to participate in various International forums organised by Egypt.
During the meeting, Abdel Dayem and Garilidis also agreed on implementing a number of artistic and intellectual projects that would shed light on the creative movement in both Egypt and Greece.
