(MENAFN- Nam News Network) DAMASCUS, Nov 3 (NNN-SANA) - Turkish forces completed dismantling Turkey-run observation point, in Syria's central province of Hama.

Turkish forces completed dismantling their observation point and took out all their gears, in the town of Morek, in the countryside of Hama.

Meanwhile, the Observatory for Human Rights said, after the full dismantling of the observation point, the Syrian flag was hoisted.

Created in 2018, the Morek observation point was the largest Turkish base in Syria.

The Turkish forces started dismantling the base on Oct 19, said the Observatory. It added that the Turkish forces are currently evacuating another observation point in the Shahshabo mountain, in the north-western countryside of Hama.

The move comes as Turkey is evacuating observation points in areas that have returned under the control of the Syrian army in Hama. The withdrawal is part of an agreement between Russia and Turkey.

Turkey maintained several bases in the countryside of Hama and Idlib in north-western Syria, as part of previous agreements with Russia, to observe a cease-fire between the Syrian forces and the rebels. However, the Syrian army captured several areas in the two provinces, pushing the Turkish forces to prepare for withdrawal.- NNN-SANA
