Philippines registers 2,379 new coronavirus infections
(MENAFN) The number of coronavirus infections in the Philippines augmented to 356,618 after the Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 2,379 new infections on Sunday, October 18.
The DOH stated that the number of recoveries also augmented to 310,158 after 14,941 more patients have cured. In the meantime, 50 more patients have passed away from the virus, taking the fatalities to 6,652.
The DOH stated that more than 4.1 million people in the Philippines have been tested up to now. The Philippines has a population of almost 110 million.
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) of the Philippines on Sunday, October 18, stated that the Philippines still bans foreign nationals from getting into the country.
