Souq Al Jubail organizes a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the Sharjah Blood Transfusion Services and Research Center
(MENAFN- Editorial) Souq Al Jubail (SQAJ), a project of Sharjah Asset Management (SAM), the investment arm of the Sharjah Government, organized a blood donation campaign, in cooperation with the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center - the Ministry of Health and Community Protection. The blood drive was run as part of Souq Al Jubail''s efforts to spread community awareness and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
Eng. Hamid Al Zarouni, Director of Souq Al Jubail, said, ''This initiative comes as part of the Souq''s strategy to implement social activities which focus on the importance and value of health. This is especially important as blood donation drives always contribute to providing quantities of blood from different blood groups to the needy, which is a vital contribution to helping the health sectors.''
He added that the blood donation campaign is a patriotic, humanitarian, and moral duty which concerns all individuals and groups of society. He continued, ''It is a distinct opportunity to highlight the human spirit and values of solidarity, cooperation, and integration among members of our community.''
Al Zarouni expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center and its team, who attended the event first thing in the morning and were well equipped with all of the necessary medical supplies and equipment. He also thanked and praised the members of the public who donated their blood and contributed to this important health and humanitarian service.
