 Jordan, Iraq business communities discuss investment opportunities
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept.27 (Petra)-President of Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, lauded the "strong " trade and economic relations between Jordan and Iraq, adding Amman is looking forward to "real" partnerships with Bagdad.
Al-Jaghbeer's remarks came during a webinar held jointly on Sunday with Head of Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, Firas Hamdani, aimed to strengthen bilateral trade relations
Addressing the business people who attended the the event, Hamdani said his institution harnesses its capabilities to build "deep" commercial and investment relations with Jordan, indicating that it brings under its umbrella about 40,000 companies.
During the webinar, the Iraqi Council of Ministers' decision to exempt Jordanian goods, remove obstacles to trade exchange between the two countries, strengthen and develop joint relations, and build investment partnerships between businesspeople, were reviewed.
In turn, Head of the "Made in Jordan" campaign, Iyad Abu Haltam, who also spoke to the attendees, stressed the importance of establishing joint projects between the two countries in a way that enhances the volume of trade exchange, facilitates the flow of goods, and establishes a common customs union between the Kingdom and Iraq.
