Chinese car massive SAIC to start hydrogen-powered automobiles


(MENAFN) On Sunday September 13 the company declared that main Chinese carmaker SAIC Motor Corporation incomplete will start at least 10 models of hydrogen-fueled vehicle by 2025.

Wang Xiaoqiu president of SAIC Motor stated that it is projected to create and sell 10,000 fuel cell cars and set up a special team to supervise research and development (R&D) and operation of its fuel cell scheme

Wang added that the corporation will expand collaboration with upstream and downstream companies to in cooperation encourage the growth of the industrial sequence.

The company founded its fuel cell vehicle scheme in 2001 and has spent over 3 billion Yuan (about 439 million United States dollars) on R&D it has attained 511 patents in the fuel cell sector.
