Jordan: 68 COVID-19 cases, 1,869 deaths


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Aug 28 (KUNA) -- Jordan recorded 68 new COVID-19 cases, of which 62 are locals, totaling the number of infected individuals at 1,869 since the virus began to spread.
A statement by the Premiership and Health department stated 56 of locals infected are reported in Amman, five others reported in Zarrqa Province, one in Al-Balqa governorate (due to being in contact with an expatriate) and six travelers.
Adding, three more cases have been recorded as fully recovered, as well as 9,247 lab tests have been undergone approximating around 800,000 tests.
The Capital Amman and Zarqa are subject to full lockdown and patrolling since last night, and as of tonight "as never before" all the other provinces will be mortified to the lockdown which starts 11 p.m. and ends at 6 a.m. (end)
