Over 70,000 Ukrainian tourists visit Antalya in August


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Some 325,000 tourists, including 74,000 Ukrainians, visited Antalya, Turkey, during the first two weeks of August, according to Recep Yavuz, the head of the tourism department at Antalya City Council.

"Some 325,000 tourists came to Antalya in the period between August 1 and August 15: 106,000 from Russia, 74,000 from Ukraine, 48,000 from Germany, 36,000 from Britain," the official said.

According to him, Antalya currently receives guests from 31 countries.

Turkey earlier introduced the "Safe Tourism Certification Program" that provides additional assurances to holidaymakers that tourist facilities meet safety standards to eliminate the risk of coronavirus infection.

Regular passenger traffic between Ukraine and Turkey resumed on July 1.
