Coronavirus infects total of 4,025 medical employees in Algeria

A total of 4,025 medical staff have been infected with coronavirus in Algeria as of Tuesday, according to the Algeria's Scientific Committee that is monitoring the spread of coronavirus in the country.

The official APS news agency quoted a member of the committee, Djamel Fourar, as saying that "we have identified about 4,025 infections among the medical staff in the whole country".

The official added that 69 of the infected patients died due to the disease, saying that "this situation is the result of the irresponsible behavior of certain citizens who do not respect the rules of prevention".

He then urged all citizens to follow rules of prevention following the gradual reopening of mosques, beaches and leisure areas into stop the risk of contamination.
