Almost 80,000 coronavirus cases reported in Dominican Republic

Health authorities of the Dominican Republic said on Sunday that the total number of coronavirus cases across the country reached 79,732 with a total of 1,309 deaths due to the disease.
The health ministry said that 954 more patients were diagnosed with the disease in the earlier day as 20 others died.
6,837 patients remain in hospitals receiving treatment while 312 of them are placed in intensive care units, and 27,842 are self isolating at their own homes.
The total number of coronavirus recoveries across the country remains at 43,744 for now.
