(MENAFN) According to the country's civil safety authorities, eleven people from one family were murdered during a deluge in Panama on Sunday, August 9.
The Bejuco River in Veraguas province west of Panama City flooded after dense rains that brushed away the family's house during their sleep in the coastal town of Calovebora, the officials stated. Nine of the fatalities were children.
Panamanian Leader Laurentino Cortizo voiced his pities on Twitter.
