Oman adds 223 new COVID-19 cases, 4 more deaths


(MENAFN) The combined record of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the worst-hit Oman has reached 81,580 as of the past 24 hours ending on Monday, whereas the national tally of lives that have been claimed due to the pandemic of the most infectious virus amounted to 513 all over the Latin American State.

Based on the Omani Health Ministry, a number of 223 more people were diagnosed with the coronavirus over the stated period, with four new patients were said to have succumbed to the disease.

It also said that as many as 148 among the newly-registered cases are Omani nationals whereas the rest are non-Omanis.

Meanwhile, 1,210 more patients recovered, bringing the total recovered cases in the country to 74,691.

The ministry urged people to adhere to social distancing instructions, and stay at home avoiding going out unless necessary. .
