Kyrgyzstan adds 503 new positive COVID-19 infections


(MENAFN) During the last 24-hour period as of Saturday, a number of 503 more patients tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan, lifting the national tally of the confirmed cases to 39,162.

Local media reports quoted Ainura Akmatova, head of the public health care department of the country's health ministry as announcing at a daily press release that the recent infections included 17 medical workers, taking the total number of infections among healthcare personnel to 2,928, with 2,025 of whom having recovered.

According to the minister, as of Tuesday morning, the combined record of patients who have won the battle against the brutal COVID-19 infection increased by 665 to 30,764.


Meanwhile, four people pronounced death during the past 24 hours, with the death toll jumping to 1,451.
