Two deaths and 291 Covid-19 cases in Qatar on Aug 7


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Ministry of Public Health today recorded 291 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 311 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 109142.

Ministry announced two new deaths - people aged 64 and 75 - all were receiving the necessary medical care.  

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 112383 and there are 3061 active cases under treatment. So far, 180 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 2930 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 513930 tests. There are 41 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.

Five patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 82.
