Azerbaijan to send USD1M in support of Lebanon after explosion
(MENAFN) Azerbaijan declared on Wednesday that it will provide USD1 million in financial support to Lebanon to aid remove the harm caused by yesterday"s fatal blast at Beirut Port.
The amount settled for the support will be attained from the reserve fund of the 2020 state budget, according to the decision signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
In a sympathy message sent to his Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun, President Ilham Aliyev voiced his country's unity with the Lebanese people on this hard day.
Beirut and its nearby suburbs were shaken on Tuesday by a huge blast that left at least 135 people dead and approximately 5,000 wounded.
