AUSTRALIAN TALENT, ERIC JAMES GRAVOLIN, RISES TO NEW ROLES.

(MENAFN- Talk of News) ERIC JAMES GRAVOLIN Born in Sydney, Australia, on 14 March, 1990. Eric James Gravolin has had a winding climb up the ladder of
performing arts success.
Beginning his career as a Classical Ballet dancer, Eric trained at one of Australia''s most
prestigious dance academies, The Australian Ballet School. After a brief career, working
alongside dancers in The Australian Ballet and The Queensland Ballet, he craved newer and
greater challenges to conquer.
''The acting and film industry had always been this alluring fantasy, ever since I was a kid.
I''d grown up watching the adventure classics like Indiana Jones and Star Wars, and wanted to
know how I could become part of that world!''
Eric recounts with a broad, charming grin on his face.
After a few years of diligence practice, and a work-ethic that would make a terrier envious,
Eric started to garner a few roles on Australian TV. Most notably in ''The Commons'', on the
Australian streaming platform Stan, ''Beyond Two Worlds'' on the Seven Network, and even
''Total Control'' on ABC, where Eric worked alongside English TV star, Harry Richardson, from
BBC''s ''Poldark.''
''It was a real treat, getting to share a screen with Harry. He''s a class act, and a professional
through and through. I feel really fortunate, and learned a lot from that [film] set.''
But more than just gracing the Australian television screen, Eric turned his eye to working on
the other side of cameras. In 2017, his short film ''The Day We Met,'' which Eric wrote,
produced, and acted in, was shortlisted in the widely regarded Australian short film festival,
Tropfest!
''That was a wild ride, The Day We Met. It was humbling to have been shortlisted. Especially
since it was my first time in the writing and producing chair. But our success was only
possible because I had a great team backing me up.''
Whilst Eric didn''t walk away from Tropfest with the golden prize, he was only just beginning
on this newfound film-making frenzy.
It wasn''t long after that Eric was invited to partner up once again with some of the team from
''The Day We Met.'' Only this time they would tackle a feature-length film, and this time
getting to work with Australian cinema icons, and Hollywood stars!
The school holiday smash, ''The Legend of The Five,'' starring ''The Conjuring 2''s'' Lauren
Esposito, and directed by ''Mad Max'' star, Joanne Samuel, is currently airing in cinemas
across Australia.
''It was a really wonderful, getting to work on an Australian adventure-fantasy film. And
getting to work with both Lauren [Esposito] and Joanne [Samuel] was surreal!''
Not wanting to slow down in the slightest, Eric turned his eyes to directing. His latest film,
''They Called Me Keith'' in which he also acted, is currently in Post-Production. The film,
written by Hungarian-Australian author, S.E. Bullen, stars both local and international talent;
Hafedh Dakhlaoui, Kristy Wordsworth, Jamie Treselyan, Clara Helms, and of course Eric
himself.
''A real challenge, that one [They Called Me Keith]. I''m very excited to share what we
captured on camera. We had a great script, and an exceptionally talented team!''
The talent emerging from Australia is ever on the rise, and Eric James Gravolin is sure to be
amongst the household names in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming
release of ''They Called Me Keith'' soon to be doing the rounds of the international film
festivals, and head to your local cinema to catch the school holiday hit, ''The Legend of The
Five.''
