Qatar adds 398 more COVID-19 cases


(MENAFN) The overall figure of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Qatar has risen to 109,036, as 398 more cases were confirmed over the past 24 hours as of Sunday, the country's Ministry of Health announced.

The ministry was cited by the official Qatar News Agency as declaring amid a news briefing that "Some 330 people recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 105,750, while the fatalities remained 164 for the second day running."

According to the ministerial statement, up to now, the Gulf state has carried out mass testing for a total of 469,000 suspected COVID-19 cases.
