Myanmar includes 343 more infections of coronavirus


(MENAFN) A statement issued Wednesday by Myanmar's Ministry of Health and Sports, the overall figure of patients who have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus across the country has amounted to 343, as two more cases were confirmed over the past 24 hours.

Both of the recently-recognized infections were registered as the patients tested positive for the virus upon their arrival from the Philippines, according to the ministry.

The ministerial figures also revealed that the number of patients who are now being offered treatment in the country's local health facilities amounted to6 ,582 , whereas a mass testing campaign were carried out for 105,635 suspected COVID-19 cases.

According to the ministry, 280 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
