COVID-19 cases jumps by 468 in Palestine


(MENAFN) The combined figure of patients who have been diagnosed with the COVID-19 in Palestine has amounted to 10,520, as 468 more cases were reported over the past 24 hours ending on Tuesday in the West Bank, the country's Health Ministry revealed in a statement.

Based on a confirmation made by the Health Minister Mai al-Kaila,"Since March 5, the health ministry has recorded 10,520 cases, including 66 deaths and 2,095 recoveries, and 8,359 others are receiving medical care."

Meanwhile, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye, who chaired the weekly meeting of his cabinet in Ramallah, announced that the Palestinian government decided to compensate those impacted by the pandemic.

"The government took a series of measures under a vision that aims at achieving a balance between the people's health and their economic interests," said Ishtaye, according to an official statement.
