Border trade of Myanmar hits more than USD8.6 billion

Data published by the Myanmar Commerce Ministry on Monday showed that the trade of Myanmar with other countries through border gates has set at more than USD8.6 billion as of the 10th of July in the gong fiscal year 2019-2020 that began back in October.

The exports of the country through border gates made more than USD5.8 billion as its import came in at USD2.7 billion.

The data showed that the border trade of the current fiscal year rose more than USD281 million in comparison to the same period a year earlier 2018-2019 when it came in at USD8.3 billion.

Muse came on top of the list of border checkpoints having the most trade value of USD3.8 billion, as Heekhee followed with USD1.6 billion, according to the data.
