Afghanistan adds 40 more COVID-19 cases

The public health ministry Afghanistan said on Monday that 40 more coronavirus cases were reported in the country, increasing the total number of COVID-19 infections across Afghanistan to 35,503.

Adding that 1,183 coronavirus deaths took place since the outbreak of the virus in the country in February, as 2 of them happened in the earlier 24 hours.

The statement also said that the total number of coronavirus recoveries in the country stands at 23,663 as of Saturday as 113 more patients have recovered from the disease since early Saturday

The Public Health Ministry diagnosed 174 more cases on Sunday and said that the number of new cases in the country has been decreasing in the country.
