Oman adds 1,157 more coronavirus infections

The health ministry of Oman said on Saturday that 10 more coronavirus patients have died due to the disease in the country, which has increased the total number of deaths to 318.

The health ministry released a statement saying that 1,157 more patients have been diagnosed with the disease, as 1,078 of them are Omani nationals, which has increased the total number of cases in the country to 66,661.

The statement also said that 1,232 patients have recovered from the disease, which has increased the total number of recoveries to 44,004.

Director of the Infection Prevention and Control Department at the Omani Ministry of Health, Amal Al-Maani, said that "the epidemiological curve of COVID-19 began to spread in Oman after April 5".
