Jordan includes one more COVID-19 related death, total at 11


(MENAFN) The overall figure of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Jordan has amounted to 1,214, as five more infections were reported over the past 24-hour period ending on early Sunday, whereas the death toll in the meantime jumped by one to 11.

All but one of the newly-confirmed cases were imported from the overseas, according to a confirmation made by the country"s ministry of health.

Up to now, the total figure of tests that have been conducted for suspected COVID-19 cases reached to 507,217, as 7,155 of them carried out in the previous 24 hours.

Also, the ministry has renewed its call on citizens to abide by precautionary measures, mainly wearing face masks and maintaining physical distancing.
