Syria includes 19 more COVID-19 cases
(MENAFN) According to a statement issued by the Syrian Ministry of Health, the overall figure of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus across the nation has risen to 458, after 19 more cases were detected over the past 24 hours as of Monday.
Meanwhile, the total figure of patients who have survived their deadly infection and been accordingly discharged from hospitals has amounted to 140, whereas the national death toll due to the pandemic reached 22, the ministerial statement revealed.
Meanwhile, the six new cases in rebel-held areas were recorded in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo provinces in northern Syria over the past 48 hours, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
A total of 11 COVID-19 cases have so far been recorded in rebel-held areas in Idlib and Aleppo, the watchdog said.
